I am running for Mountlake Terrace City Council because I care deeply about this city. It is my home, and it is where I am raising my daughter.
I’ve lived in Mountlake Terrace for over a decade. In that time, I’ve seen how much this community has to offer and how important it is to protect what makes it special. Our city is in a solid position today, but we need to take smart, forward-thinking action to stay that way.
Across Washington, we have seen the consequences when cities delay action on financial challenges. Cle Elum is considering bankruptcy. Brier is facing significant service cuts. Edmonds is preparing for a possible emergency levy. I do not want Mountlake Terrace to face those kinds of choices in the future.
We need thoughtful leadership that understands how to manage resources, plan for growth, and prioritize what matters most to residents. I believe in building a financially stable city that remains livable, welcoming, and vibrant for decades to come.
